My Tofu House

Happy New Year to Everyone! Hopefully this year contains many food adventures for everyone to pursue. I kicked it off with a visit to a local Korean restaurant, My Tofu House. While their meat dishes are good, their Tofu soups are what stand out. Each bowl of Tofu Soup contained fresh silken tofu with loads of diced up vegetables in a simmering pot. They will ask whether you want the spiciness of your tofu soup to be mild, medium, or hot which for low heat tolerance individuals like me is a godsend. The side dishes are fresh but unfortunately lacking flavor. However the tofu soups more than make up the difference. Just some tofu soup over rice will speak for itself.

Seafood Tofu Soup (Top) & Mushroom Tofu Soup (Bottom) - Warms you up and slides down your throat. Delicious!


Seafood Pancake - A little bit too much flour but choc full of flavor


Pork Bugolgi - The spiciness was about a medium which had me running for water. Still I couldn't help going for seconds.
